Overview

One of the earlier affordable 5G phones from Samsung, the A23 5G pairs a Snapdragon 695 chipset with a plain LCD screen rather than the AMOLED panels now standard even at lower prices in newer A-series models. A 3.5mm headphone jack and dedicated microSD slot (not sharing a SIM tray) are practical inclusions. The 50 MP main camera handles daylight shots reasonably but the display's lower brightness makes outdoor visibility a genuine weakness. With Samsung's newer budget 5G phones (A25/A26) now offering AMOLED screens at similar prices, this is mostly worth it if discounted well below its original price.
