Overview

Samsung's previous-generation budget phone still gets the job done for basic calling, messaging, and light browsing, with a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset that's a step behind the newer A07's G99. It's the rare budget Samsung with a 3.5mm headphone jack and FM radio still included, features increasingly dropped elsewhere in the lineup. The HD-resolution LCD screen and 50 MP single camera are unremarkable but functional. With the A07 now the current entry-level model, the A06 is mainly worth buying if it's discounted meaningfully below the newer phone's price.
